Swiftpoint Z3 · Profile Builder — Guides

The Profile Builder is the web tool for creating, inspecting and editing .spcf profiles for the Swiftpoint Z3 — right in the browser.

The Profile Builder is the web tool where you create, inspect and edit .spcf profiles for the Swiftpoint Z3 — right in the browser, no app needed. Everything you build can be downloaded as a file, pasted into a chat, or saved directly to the Swiftpoint Hub where other players can find, preview and vote on it.

This folder contains the official guides for the Builder. They are written for players, not developers, and mirror exactly what the tool shows you.

What can the Profile Builder do?

  • Bind every button on the Z3 — 16 physical inputs (see bindings.md), each with a light press stage and, on the five deep‑click capable buttons, extra deep pressure zones.
  • Two actions per press — the classic Z3 trick: a light press does one thing, pushing through the tactile dash does something else.
  • Pressure‑sensitive deep‑click zones — fine‑grained force ranges on one button (see deep-click.md).
  • Tilt, pitch & pivot (IMU) — tilt gestures and analog tilt ranges, including yaw pivot for free‑look (see tilt-and-pivot.md).
  • Mousewheel & surface movements — wheel scroll triggers, grip‑gated scrolling (hold a button + scroll), and surface dragging.
  • Nesting — put a binding under another one and it is live while that trigger is held: one hold gates several inputs, up to 20 levels deep (see nesting.md).
  • OLED screen & animations — control the 64×32 display, flash frames, and paste animations from the OLED Editor (see oled-actions.md).
  • Device settings per profile — DPI levels + cycling, polling rate, lift‑off height, game‑device mode, LED and more (see settings-and-dpi.md).
  • Save & publish — download a .spcf file or publish the profile to the hub for other players (see save-and-publish.md).

Quick reference

  • Profile — the whole thing you download/save; a .spcf text file.
  • Group — one named profile inside the file, with its own bindings and settings. Groups can contain sub‑profiles (nested groups), which work as layers that the Z3 can switch between.
  • Mapping — a single binding: trigger (what you do) + activation actions (what happens) + optional deactivation actions (what happens on release).
  • Deep click — pressing through the tactile‑dash force point. Only some buttons have that sensor.
  • Nesting — one binding indented under another. It means live while the trigger above it is held, nothing else: no order, no if/else, no delay.

The Builder is fully client‑side: you can open a .spcf, edit it and download it again without creating an account. Publishing to the hub is the only step that needs a (free, Discord‑based) login.

Notes on accuracy

These guides describe version 2 of the builder (json,2,4 format). The tool shows a Mouse, Bindings, Settings, JSON and Diagnostics view — the guides reference those exact view names.
