Profile Builder · Your first binding — watched step by step
Build one real binding — a right-click on the right mouse button — with an interactive recording you can play in the real editor, plus what each step actually changes.
The quickstart describes the whole Builder in five minutes. This page does one thing slowly, with a recording of the real editor so you can watch every click and then try it yourself.
We are going to build one binding, from nothing:
Press the right mouse button → the mouse reports a right click.
That is a real, useful binding — it is what you use as a building block for everything else — and it is short enough to hold in your head while you follow along.
Play the guide
The steps below are the real thing, recorded in the Profile Builder. Step through them, or press Open live in Profile Builder to have the editor perform them itself while you watch.
6. Give it a label
A label is what the binding is called in the profile: Click Right here. It
shows up on the button card, in the Bindings tab and in any exported
.spcf, so it is worth naming things the way you would say them out loud.
